Spring Academy: Backstage Brushstrokes: Scenic Art for Beginners

Ages:7-12*

90 Minute Class

Every Saturday for six weeks (April 4- May 9)**

*Participants must be the appropriate age by the start of classes by April 4th

**If a class is canceled by CCT or the instructor, May 16th will serve as the makeup day.

Description 

Step behind the curtain and become a set painting superstar! This lively theatre arts class introduces kids to the creative craft of scenic painting. From swirling colors together in week one to painting convincing stone, wood, and brick, children will experiment with techniques the pros use to bring stages to life. Along the way, they’ll learn about texture, dimension, and the secrets to making scenery look real. Whether painting sparkling stained glass or the cool look of marble, every week offers a new masterpiece. Designed for curious, hands-on kids who love to make art BIG!

Cancellation Policy:

• Cancel 4+ weeks before start date: full refund less $25 fee.
• Cancel 2–4 weeks before start date: refund less $45 fee.
• Cancel 3 days–2 weeks before start date: account credit less $45 fee.
• Cancel within 3 days: no refund or credit due to limited enrollment capacity.

All classes require a minimum number of students to run. CCT reserves the right to cancel classes with low enrollment. If CCT cancels, a full refund will be issued.
